EXTRA SLIM FIT

A modern fit means a slightly fitted shirt which doesn’t quite mould to your body. Comfort rules. And that’s just how it feels too. Not too narrow and not too loose – if you prefer to wear your shirts a little more casual, then a modern fit is just right for you.

The fit which is slightly narrower is called slim fit – a slim cut, body-hugging fit and slightly tailored. What you see is what you get. Take advantage of a narrower cut for a more self-assured look.

The extra slim fit goes even further, or rather narrower. Cut to a narrower fit that is even more figure-hugging and comes with a percentage of stretch.

COLLAR DESIGN

We want your collar to be just right. So here are a few tips for creating the perfect look.

Shirt with Kent collar
KENT COLLAR
The Kent collar can be used universally: a true classic for formal occasions. Some think the Kent is the perfect collar for business shirts. We are not going to dispute this claim. But we would like you to know that this type of collar can also be an excellent choice for leisure occasions. In other words, it’s a real all-rounder.
Shirt with cutaway collar
CUTAWAY COLLAR
The cutaway collar is a really smart option. It always works. Although it’s sometimes called a shark collar because of its shape, don’t worry: it still looks cool. It’s ideal, because the collar tips can easily accommodate a wider tie knot.
Shirt with stand-up collar
STAND-UP COLLAR
More style for your leisure time? For everyone who doesn’t like ties: that calls for a stand-up collar. Classic and simple but without a fold-over collar, yet still modern.
Front check – the fabric should best not wrinkle

FRONT CHECK

It’s easy to look smart: the fabric shouldn’t have any creases, so it falls smoothly and fluidly. To keep your shirt smooth, you can of course simply tuck it into your trousers.

Your shirt should also sit close to the body and should be slightly narrower at the waist, so it doesn’t fit too loosely. Why is that good? Extra width often makes us look a little heavier than we are. In that case, it’s better to have a shirt with a slightly narrower fit, isn’t it? That way you enhance your appearance, not your waistline.

Sleeve check, her shirt ends below the back of her hand

SLEEVE CHECK

Our tip: the ideal sleeve length of your shirt ends below the back of your hand. The shirt should be approximately one cm longer than the jacket.

This means the cuffs have modest room to manoeuvre - and you have that certain something. This is because the cuffs – i.e. the hems at the end of the sleeves – are a visual complement to the collar. And a great way to round off your style.
