Sustainability is a key issue for us and awareness of the right care to ensure your favourite items have the longest possible life is our constant priority. In order to help you with this, we, as a brand with its roots in Switzerland, have created a Swiss inspired Care Guide for you. This guide will help you take care of your products in a sustainable and resource-saving way.
We have teamed up with the Swiss washing strip brand bluu to make washing easier for you. bluu produces eco-friendly washing strips to help you wash your STRELLSON products sustainably – plastic-free, vegan and without additives.

MATERIAL CARE
WOOL*
Wool fibres have a natural protective layer and virtually clean themselves through their natural properties. This makes wool products both dirt and dust resistant.
To care for your product, it therefore suffices to air-dry it from time to time. If you do need to wash your garment, it's best to wash it by hand or on a delicate cycle.
We recommend you use a laundry bag in the washing machine to prevent pulled threads or matting on your product.
It’s then best to lay it flat to dry rather than hanging, so it doesn’t lose its shape.

DENIM*
Denim is one of the few fabrics that becomes more comfortable the more you wear it.
But in order to achieve this, you should not wash your denim products, such as jeans, too often, as your denim fabric loses colour pigments with each wash. A good alternative is to air-dry them - this not only prolongs the life of your product, but also protects the environment.
Should you prefer to wash your denim product in the washing machine now and again, we recommend that you wash it inside out to prevent colour fading. We suggest you opt for a cold wash on a delicate wash cycle.
Then dry your product flat and in the fresh air to prevent it from losing its shape.

Vinegar is a popular home remedy to fix the indigo colour pigments before the first wash to prevent staining. This is done by soaking the jeans in a 50-50 mixture of vinegar and water for half an hour and only then washing them.
